Fiber Arts Guild holds monthly meeting
The Santa Barbara Fiber Arts Guild’s monthly meeting for July will be held from 9:30 to noon Saturday, July 5, at the Shifco Community Center, 418 Santa Fe Place, off Cliff Drive in Santa Barbara.
There will be a brief business meeting followed by a presentation given by fiber artists Judy Rys, Kristin Otte, Ranell Hansen and Mora Martin. The focus is Fibervision, a collective group of California quilt artists who reside in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties. Fibervision promotes the quilt as art and members participate in collective and individual exhibits, as well as a monthly meeting. We will cover a variety of topics including inspiration, creativity and techniques with a lot of examples.
